The Training and Placement Cell (TPC) at Smt. Indira Gandhi College of Engineering (SIGCE), Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai is dedicated to facilitating career opportunities for students by establishing strong connections with industry and corporate organizations. The cell acts as a bridge between students and recruiters, ensuring that students are well prepared to meet the expectations of the professional world.
The Training and Placement Cell works actively with students from all departments including Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, CSE (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning), CSE (IoT, Cyber Security including Blockchain), and Artificial Intelligence & Data Science. The objective of the cell is to enhance the employability of students through training programs, internships, industry exposure, and campus recruitment drives.
The cell organizes various activities throughout the academic year such as technical training, aptitude development sessions, soft skill development programs, mock interviews, resume building workshops, and industry expert lectures. These initiatives help students build confidence and develop the necessary technical and professional skills required in today’s competitive job market.
In addition to placement activities, the Training and Placement Cell also focuses on internship opportunities, industrial visits, industry collaborations, and career guidance sessions. These initiatives provide students with practical exposure and help them understand industry expectations.

The Training and Placement Cell (T&P Cell) of Smt. Indira Gandhi College of Engineering (SIGCE), Navi Mumbai plays a pivotal role in shaping the careers of students by bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. The cell is dedicated to providing career guidance, skill development opportunities, and placement assistance to students across all engineering disciplines.
The primary objective of the Training and Placement Cell is to enhance the employability of students through structured training programs, industry interaction, internships, and campus recruitment drives. The cell regularly organizes activities such as technical training, aptitude development sessions, soft skills training, mock interviews, group discussion practices, resume-building workshops, and personality development programs to prepare students for competitive recruitment processes.
SIGCE maintains strong relationships with leading industries, corporate organizations, and research institutions, facilitating internship opportunities and campus placements for students. The T&P Cell acts as a central coordination body that connects students with recruiters and ensures a smooth and transparent recruitment process.
The department also encourages students to explore higher education opportunities, entrepreneurship, and competitive examinations, thereby supporting diverse career pathways. Through continuous collaboration with industry experts, alumni, and training partners, the Training and Placement Cell strives to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to succeed in the global professional environment.
Under the guidance of the Training and Placement Officer and faculty coordinators, the cell works proactively to maintain high placement standards and to foster a culture of professional excellence among students.

The primary objective of the Training and Placement Cell is to prepare students to meet the dynamic requirements of the industry and to create promising career opportunities for them.
