Smt. Indira Gandhi College of Engineering SIGCE) received the Autonomous status from Academic year 2025-26 with six branches of Engineering ( COMP, CSE(AIML), CSE(IOTCSBT), AI&DS, MECH, ELECT). Since then, SIGCE has evolved into many changes to ensure the quality of education imparted and in the student’s progression. The holistic approach towards the overall development of the student is adapted and the new scheme as per NEP 2020 policy with 40-60 pattern (Internal Assessment of 40 marks and End Semester Examination of 60 marks) for F.E and S.E. and SIGCE R-19 C scheme for T.E and BE with 20-80 pattern (Internal Assessment of 20 marks and End Semester Examination of 80 marks)
The question paper setting for all examinations was done at institute level and blind selection of a question paper out of the set of 3 papers was introduced from October / November 2025 exam. All the results were prepared by the Institute and declared after moderation by the Board of Examinations. The results were uploaded on the Institute website. The open House facility was introduced for transparency, where students saw their answer books and raised their grievance, if any, which were resolved. The unsuccessful students were facilitated by introducing a Re-Exam facility for theory, conducted within a month from the declaration of the result, with the same procedure of the ESE.

These are tentative dates:
- For Winter exam-Nov./Dec. for online exam forms for Sem. I, II, VII & VIII to be submit in the month of September/October for every academic year.
- Results of exam – Nov./Dec. for Sem I to VIII for all branches to be declare in the month of February for every academic year.
- To apply for revaluation & photocopy within 10 days after declaration of results.
- For Summer exam – May/June for online exam forms for Sem. I, II, VII & VIII to be submit in the month of March/April for every academic year.
- Results of exam – Nov./Dec. for Sem I to VIII for all branches to be declare in the month of end of July/August for every academic year.
